Why You Should Whistle While You Work (infograph)

Singing is so good that we often do it during the most boring times to perk up the day. The best example has to be at work. They might not break out into a full blown chorus of the latest Broadway musical. But, they will recite a few lines from their favorite classics to get them through the day. But why?

Influx of Endorphins

Singing releases endorphin and that makes us feel happier. It doesn’t matter whether you are at work or in the shower, an influx of endorphin is an influx of endorphin. The end result is a better mood and a happier frame of mind.

Stress Reliever

Singing also relieves stress because of a release of oxytocin. Oxytocin is a natural stress reliever and alleviates feelings that lead to depression. No one should be depressed while they work.

They’ll Sleep Better

Because they are not as stressed, they will sleep better at home. Sleep is the body’s time to rest, and if you don’t get enough it affects the rest of your day. Plus, if they get their eight hours at home there is no need for them to catch up during work!

Singing creates an atmosphere that is conducive to work and higher productivity. Your workforce will love coming into work and the standard will increase as a result.
